Vegan beer battered cauliflower
Ingredients
florets from 1 cauliflower (about 24.7 ounces / 700 g)
2 3/8 cups / 300 g all-purpose flour
1 cup / 250 ml beer
1 cup / 250 ml sparkling water
3/4 teaspoon salt
dash of black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika powder
vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. In a bowl combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika powder, beer and sparkling powder. Mix until smooth. Add cauliflower florets and cover them with the batter.
2. In a pot heat vegetable oil until thermometer shows 350 °F / 180 °C. Transfer the battered cauliflowers to the pan and fry them until golden brown. Cook in batches.
3. Drain fried cauliflowers on kitchen towels. Serve immediately with your favorite dip (such as vegan ranch dip, BBQ sauce or ketchup). ENJOY!
